Thielert Aircraft Engines GmbH has already achieved the type certification according to EASA requirements for the CENTURION® 4.0 in October 2004. The CENTURION® 4.0 is a V8-engine with up to 257 kW (350hp). The CENTURION® 4.0 is running only with kerosene.

The CENTURION® 4.0 is showing great market potential in the area of OEM as well as in the retrofit sector. Though the main target market for these engines comprises national and international aircraft manufacturers (OEM) we develop and certify own supplemental type certifications. The single-engined Cessna 206 F, G and H are already EASA stc'd.

For reasons of existing confidentiality agreements with our customers, we can at present only publish the details relating to the Beech Duke B60. This aircraft, made by our STC partner, Gomolzig, has made its first flights with the CENTURION® 4.0 in winter 2005. At this time we expected the FAA validation of the TC, too.
